August 19 Transfer New Families Orientation 2026
Join us for New Families Orientation (NFO) at The George Washington University! This program is designed to welcome families and supporters of incoming students to the GW community. Throughout the program, you’ll hear from key campus offices, academic colleges, and support services that play an essential role in your student’s experience.
NFO offers a valuable opportunity to become familiar with campus life, understand the resources available to support your student’s success, meet the Family Engagement Team, and connect with other GW families. We look forward to welcoming you and ensuring you feel informed, confident, and connected as part of the GW Family.
Please note: Due to space limitations only two guests are permitted per student. In addition, your student must register separately for New Student Orientation (NSO) on the same date you select, using their admissions portal. New Student Orientation is required for all students.
Check-in begins at 8:00 AM at the University Student Center, and programming includes: Welcome from Campus Leadership, Presentations by Campus Partners, Student Leader Panel, and Campus Tours. Transfer New Families Orientation ends at 3:30 PM
